Son shot at Fort Hood
Submitted by: Mike Davis | Our son Chad is stationed at FT Hood and was wounded yesterday in the melee. He said he had taken cover when the shooting started. Then someone said “he’s reloading” so he tried to E&E and got shot. He doesn’t think he was directly targeted but rather a wild shot or a ricochet. Bullet entered near his clavicle and lodged close to his spine. The docs think it would do more damage to remove it than it will cause staying where it is.
Chad just PCS’d to FT Hood a few weeks ago and was inprocessing. His unit is scheduled for Iraq in Feb. Megan hadn’t got to Hood yet as she is finishing up some school in NJ before joining him. She had expected to get there early Dec. She is flying out today to be with him.We were so blessed that he was only wounded. It’s hard to even think about the difference a few inches make between life and death.

Daughter - Housing - San Diego
Submitted by: Rhett Ouzts | Yesterday, my daughter called me very upset, as she and her husband and my grandson will have to find new housing.
Chris, who is in Marines stationed in San Diego, and my daughter where given notice by landlord that they have 30 days to move. Landlords were laid off from their jobs and having to move back intor her mom\'s house.
Pray that God will provide this need, as they will also need financial assistance, as they exhausted thiier financial resources in December 2008 moving from Jacksonville, NC ( Marine Camp) to San Diego, CA.
Your prayers will be much appreciated and if you know of anyone in San Diego that could help I would be much appreciative. Any financial help would be most humbly appreciated.
